The HORIZON magazine is a monthly, printed series that explores the literature, social, artistic, and photographic world of our generation.
​Rooted in the heart of Vancouver, Canada, Horizon Youth Magazine thrives on the creativity and passion of young people, offering a platform where their voices are heard and their talents are celebrated. Our magazine brings together hundreds of young contributors from diverse backgrounds each year, fostering a community that values expression, innovation, and inclusivity.
At Horizon Youth Magazine, we believe in the power of youth to inspire change and challenge the status quo. Our dedicated team of student writers, editors, and photographers work tirelessly to produce content that reflects the interests and concerns of today’s youth. Through our pages, readers can explore thought-provoking articles on social justice, discover breathtaking photographic essays, and immerse themselves in the imaginative worlds of young writers.​​​​​

Our Founding Story
Vancouver is experiencing a student life imbalance problem. Students in Vancouver are facing considerable differences in their interactions with one another as well as distancing between friends. With notable changes geographically separating student populations, from students in rural cities to the vast downtown, there are growingly fewer interactions and opportunities to showcase talent and skill.
In early 2024, a group of diverse students from across Metro Vancouver came together to found the first printed, student magazine. On the basis of accessibility and inclusivity, it was decided that the Horizon Magazine, in it's extended mission to connect, is to stay free for all. In pursuit of creativity and community came a Horizon for students.
Our Funding & Autonomy
We are proud to be independently funded, allowing us to maintain our authentic voice and editorial freedom. Horizon Youth Magazine is more than just a publication; it’s a movement that encourages young people to think critically, express themselves freely, and engage with their community. Join us as we celebrate the artistic, social, photographic, and literary talents of youth, and help us create a brighter, more inclusive future.
