Leo Chen is a rising Junior at Pinetree Secondary. In founding and serving as the CEO of Horizon Publications, Leo is extremely honored to have been supporting the community though this opportunity. From developing the first editions to planning the next phase of development, you can find Leo either in a meeting or on his way to a meeting, regardless of his data connection. Outside of his administrative tasks at both Horizon Publications as well as AOOC Foundation, you can find Leo with his Camera on the streets of Metro Vancouver. At any time of the day, Leo is ecstatic to help, discuss, and work with you, wherever he may be.

Richard Qin is a Vancouver-based student with extensive leadership experience. He serves as the vice president of Adopt Our Community and sits on the board of the Hand of Youth Service Association. Additionally, Richard’s internship at JP Morgan has equipped him with valuable insights into the corporate world, making him a formidable candidate for a leadership role at Horizon Magazine.

Hi! I’m Kristina, currently a senior at Lord Byng Secondary School, and I am the vice president and head of the creative department at Horizon magazine. I am super grateful to be working with other talented and passionate members as we create this magazine that impacts and connects youths in Vancouver. As the creative director, I am constantly inspired by the dedication and innovation our writers and photographers possess, making the magazine's creative process truly exciting and unique. Finally, watching Horizon grow from a few creators into a team of more than 50 extremely talented youths was truly a special experience, and we are always excited to be working with new artists and writers, so do not hesitate to contact and show us your talents if you want to be a part of the family!

Grace, a grade 12 at Magee Secondary, is incredibly honored to serve as Chief of Staff at Horizon Canada. As Chief of Staff, Grace oversees staff members at Horizon Canada, upholding the well-being and productivity of Horizon staff. As well as overseeing the director and executive hiring for Horizons. She maintains the ultimate goal of human resources: inclusivity and creating an open space for all. Outside of Horizon, Grace enjoys creating an equitable community through her work on the DTES and promoting that same inclusivity within her school. Along with a passion for archival fashion and aesthetic philosophy especially its influence on media and youth.

Alice Jiang, a first-generation immigrant student in Vancouver, has a strong background in finance. She completed Financial Statement 101 with Acumen Academy and presented an investment portfolio to the branch manager of Charles Schwab in New York. As the finance director of USDG Youth, Alice oversees financial operations and creates balance sheets. Her meticulous and observant nature makes her a critical addition to the Horizon Magazine team.

As a senior at Little Flower Academy, Christina is honoured to serve as the Co-Chief Financial Officer for The Horizon Publications. Venturing into the business world two years ago in her first case competition sparked a passion for exploring diverse business realms–from entrepreneurial challenges, to pitch competitions, and even launching her own small business. Since then, she has been enthralled with the innovative and fast-paced nature of business competitions while making lifelong friends and memories. Her passion for finance, economics and business has only grown, allowing her to bring a wealth of experience, enthusiasm, and skills to The Horizons Magazine. She looks forward to helping with finances, logistics, photography, and securing sponsors to ensure The Horizon Magazine is a success!

My journey into the world of technology began with a deep-rooted interest in competitive programming and a passion for developing software from the ground up. Over the years, these interests have blossomed into a commitment to leveraging my technical expertise to support my community.
